Biography

It’s okay if you need some help moving your mountain

Lauren Whitney Reliford is a passionate, mission-driven public health and social policy advocacy professional focused on bridging the gap between social theory, research, practice, and policy. Lauren has over ten years of experience in research, policy, advocacy, and government relations and is a strategic thinker with an understanding of national political processes and influencers. She is focused on promoting qualitative (patient experience, field expertise) and quantitative (evidence-based population and public health science and research) data to inform public policy.

Lauren has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boston College and is in her final semester of her Master of Social Work Program at the National Catholic School of Social Service. She has focused her research on trauma and its impact on health, particularly Black maternal health. Lauren is a native of the Washington, DC area and is a passionate DC sports fan who loves reading (when she has time!)
