Jill Manit, Ph.D., MSW, Clinical Assistant Professor of Social Work and MSW Program Director at Sacred Heart University (SHU), teaches courses in content areas related to anti-racist practice, policy practice, and community assessment. Prior to her work at SHU, she served as the field education program coordinator for 10 years at another University.
Within that role, she proudly co-developed and co-implemented the Nevada Policy Practice Academy, which coordinated specialized training and field supervision for BSW and MSW students in policy practice placements. Her practice experience spans working with individuals, groups, and communities. This includes direct substance abuse treatment services, family-based services, and non-profit management, training, and technical assistance to substance abuse prevention providers throughout the western region of the United States. Dr. Manit continues to provide technical assistance and other consulting services to key stakeholders implementing statewide system changes in children’s mental health services.
